Vaults

Vaults are the folders that hold all your Mosaics and Scenes. They control who can see and edit your work.

Tip
What it is: Folders for organising mosaics, discovers, and scenes by team or project.
Why use it: Keep your workspace organised and control which teams see which content.
Where to find it: Left sidebar โ†’ Vaults icon (๐Ÿ—‚๏ธ)
Who can use it: All roles. Vault creation requires Weaver+. Access is granted by vault owners.

Every piece of saved work in Celiq โ€” every Mosaic, every Scene โ€” lives inside a Vault. Vaults are folders with access control. Understanding them is the key to organising your workspace and controlling who sees what.

What is a Vault

A Vault is a container for Mosaics and Scenes. Each Vault has:

  • A name and optional description
  • A type that determines who can discover and access it
  • Members with assigned access levels
  • A default access level for new members

Vaults are the only place where Mosaics and Scenes live. You cannot save content outside a Vault.

Workspace VaultEveryone in the workspaceLuminary onlyView
My Vault is private. Not even a Luminary can see its contents. Use it for personal work-in-progress. Team Vault is for a specific group of people โ€” a team, a project, a department. Only people explicitly invited can discover or view its contents. Workspace Vault is visible to every member of the Celiq workspace. Use it for canonical Mosaics and Scenes that the whole organisation should be able to find.
Note: My Vault is created automatically when your account is created. You cannot delete it.

Vault access levels

Within a Team Vault or Workspace Vault, members can have one of four access levels:

Access levelCan viewCan editCan manage membersCan delete Vault

ManageYesYesYesNo
Full controlYesYesYesYes

The Vault creator is automatically assigned Full control.

Creating a Vault

  1. Click the + next to Vaults in the left sidebar (or open the Vault browser via โ‹ฏ โ†’ New Vault).
  2. Choose a type โ€” Team Vault or Workspace Vault (Luminaries only for the latter).
  3. Give it a name and optional description.
  4. Add initial members and assign their access levels.
  5. Click Create.

Adding content to a Vault

When saving a Scene or creating a Mosaic, you are prompted to choose a Vault. You can also move existing content:

  • Right-click a Scene or Mosaic โ†’ Move to Vault.
  • In Vault settings โ†’ Content tab โ†’ drag items between Vaults.

To copy (not move) content to another Vault, use Duplicate to Vault instead.

Managing Vault membership

Open the Vault โ†’ click โ‹ฏ โ†’ Vault settings โ†’ Members. From here you can:

  • Add new members by name or email
  • Change an existing member's access level
  • Remove a member
  • Change the default access level for new invitees

Only members with Manage or Full control access can modify membership.

Vaults are flat โ€” there are no sub-folders within a Vault. To organise content within a Vault, use naming conventions (e.g. prefixing Scene names with a team name) or tags.

All Vault content is searchable via the global search (Cmd/Ctrl + K). You will only see content in Vaults you have access to.
