Tip

What it is: A Slack bot that brings Orion into your team's channels — ask questions, receive proactive alerts, and get weekly briefs, all inside Slack.
Why use it: Your team already lives in Slack. Orion can meet them there.
Where to set up: Lumen → Integrations → Slack → Connect
Who can use it: Luminary role to set up. All workspace members can interact via Slack. Available on Team plan.

Celiq for Slack

Ask @celiq questions in any Slack channel. Orion answers with governed data. Also posts proactive alerts and weekly briefs to configured channels.

Setup

Lumen → Integrations → Slack → Connect

This opens a standard OAuth flow to authorize Celiq to your Slack workspace. You'll need Slack admin permissions to authorize the bot.

Asking questions

In any channel where the bot has been invited:

@celiq what was revenue last week?

Orion responds in the thread with a governed answer — including source citations and confidence level. The same semantic layer routing and provenance that applies in the app applies in Slack.

Configure channels

Channel	Purpose
Alert channel	Where anomaly alerts are posted automatically
Brief channel	Where Monday weekly briefs are posted

Set both channels in Lumen → Integrations → Slack → Channel settings.

What Orion can answer in Slack

Orion in Slack has the same capabilities as Orion in the app:

Governed answers grounded in your semantic layer
Source citations on every answer
Confidence level (High / Medium / Low)
Follow-up suggestions

What Orion cannot do in Slack:

Generate charts or visualizations (link to Discover instead)
Access raw warehouse tables (semantic layer only)
Answer questions outside the workspace's governed reveals

Alert format

Alerts posted to Slack include:

Alert title and severity level
The metric name and current value
A 2–3 sentence AI explanation from Orion
A "View in Celiq →" button linking to the Action Center

Disconnecting

Lumen → Integrations → Slack → Disconnect. This immediately stops all Slack posting and revokes the bot's authorization.
